Port Commission

The Port is governed by 5 elected Commissioners.
All Port Commission meetings are open to the public, with time for public questions and comments.

Because the Port is governed by Commissioners who are elected by the residents of Edmonds and Woodway, it is important to maintain a strong public communication program. There are a number of ways in which the public can learn about, and become more involved in, the Port of Edmonds.

All Port Commission meetings are open to the public, and all include a time for public questions and comments concerning Port related items. Agendas for upcoming meetings are typically posted the Thursday before the meeting. Meeting minutes from one meeting are generally approved in the next upcoming commission meeting and then typically posted within a week from approval.

Most major activities of the Port are regularly reported in the Everett Herald, as well as posted on My Edmonds News. In general, Port Commission discussions are announced in advance of any decisions, so that members of the public have the opportunity to discuss all proposed actions directly with Commissioners.

Some development issues may be put to a vote of the District’s residents, particularly those projects involving significant tax funds and/or major community impacts.

Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 6 pm, and the last Tuesday of each month at 10:00am in our Commission meeting room at 471 Admiral Way in Edmonds. Meetings are subject to change.

All of our Commission Meetings are held in hybrid form, so you can join us in person, or through our zoom link below.
